Perfect Peace Part Two
What if the key to perfect peace was not found in trying harder, but in learning to see differently? This message takes us deep into the Hebrew word 'yetzer,' the word translated as 'mind' in Isaiah 26:3, where God promises to keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on Him. That word 'yetzer' means imagination, and that changes everything. We are invited to consider that imagination is not a childish distraction but a God-given gift designed to frame our reality. When we imagine Jesus at our right hand, when we ask Him where He is in our pain, when we picture His resurrection power living inside us, something shifts. Scripture after scripture affirms this, from the Psalmist declaring he set the Lord always before him, to the promise in John that rivers of living water would flow from within us. We also gather around the communion table with fresh eyes, reminded by 1 Corinthians 11:26 that every time we partake, we are proclaiming and making known the Lord's death until He comes. Communion is not ritual. It is a deeply personal encounter with everything Jesus has done for us, body broken, blood poured out, covenant sealed. Together, we are challenged to stop treating these sacred things as common and to let them awaken something real inside us.
